Christina’s House Sixth Annual Ball

Was a Tremendous Success!

Our 6th Annual Ball was held at Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in coordination with Max Catering and Events

Our attendees had a fabulous evening dining on delicious food, using our electronic bidding system for our wonderful auction items and dancing the night away to the Floyd Patterson Band.

We would like to thank our Annual Ball committee, sponsors, donors, and attendees for helping to make this event so special.  This was our biggest and best event yet with over 350 people in attendance. Because of your support we were able to raise close to $100,000 for our mission.  This money will set the foundation for our program for 2019.  Our home could not be more grateful for you and your continued support.

Frequently asked questions about our silent auction

WHAT IS A SILENT AUCTION?

During this year’s silent auction, bids will be made electronically directly from your smartphone via the ReadySetAuction application.  At the predetermined end of the auction, the highest listed bidder wins the item. There will be many items auctioned simultaneously and “closed” at a common finish time.

WHAT TYPES OF ITEMS CAN I DONATE TO THE SILENT AUCTION?

Gift Cards, Unique Themed Baskets, Sports Memorabilia, Jewelry, Handmade Items, and so much more.

IS THERE A PRICE LIMIT?

Gifts cards donated must be in increments of $25 or more.  All baskets or other donated items must also be valued at $25 or more.

ARE MY DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Per IRS regulations, all items donated to our live and silent auctions are tax-deductible at the Fair Market Value of the item. For the winner of an item at the silent and live auctions the difference you bid above the Fair Market Value of each item is tax deductible.  For example, if an auction item is valued at $25, but the final bid on this item was $45, the final amount that is tax deductible would be $20 for the winner.

Christina’s House was designed to provide transitional housing for women and their children, but more importantly to offer and provide emotional, spiritual, physical support, and education as they transition from homelessness to permanent, stable living environments. By helping just one family, we may change a generation.
