Officer Kevin E. Ambrose

Award Program and Memorials

In honor of Officer Kevin E. Ambrose, Christina’s House has partnered with the Ambrose Family and Ride to Remember to develop the:  ‘Christina’s House Officer Kevin E. Ambrose Memorial and Award Program.’ The Officer Kevin E. Ambrose Memorial Award will be offered to graduates of Christina’s House, who exemplify what it takes to be successful in our program and who show a positive attitude toward changing their life for the better, as well as that of their child(ren).  The award will be given to support a financial or educational need for the recipient.

In addition to the Kevin E. Ambrose Memorial Award, is the dedication of the “Christmas tree” room at  our Madison Avenue location and a memorial garden at our Union Street Location to Officer Ambrose. These memorials bear the name of Kevin E. Ambrose and are a designated place for the women and children of Christina’s House to gather, reflect, and build more nurturing relationships.

The award and memorials have been established, because we believe that the life of Kevin E. Ambrose, as a Springfield Police Officer was dedicated to the effort of protecting, serving and improving his community. This program will help perpetuate a memory.  This memory will be long reaching in helping others to understand the value of a life given in honor of another and the importance of that life becoming significant toward improving our community.
